Dear Stefan,

At first I was skeptical about the whole blogging thing. I never really knew what blogging was about. I always saw blogging as a way for nerdy people to talk about their feelings. When I came to college I started to see more and more blogs. Especially photo blogs. And I started to become interested in them. When I found out I had to make a photo blog for my photo arts class I was kind of nervous because I didn’t know what people would think of my work. I was scared by the fact that anyone can just comment on my photos and say whatever they want. Now that I’ve been posting for a good 2 months I really like the idea of a photo blog. I find it exciting that people can give me feedback on my work and most of it isn’t mean, just critical. I think that everyone interested in photography or art should think about making one because it not only gets your name out there, it also gives people a chance to comment and gives you a chance to grow as an artist. I am defiantly going to continue blogging and updating my photo blog and hopefully in the future, have my own website.

Thanks for being a great teacher,

Nicholas Talal

  1. Nick,
You have a good start to the blog, I hope you continue it. I like your titling as it gives an inclination to what you were thinking or what has happening when you took the image. Still I would say you could go a lot farther with this. Try posting inspirations or responses to articles about photography or news that relates to photo which stir you and make you want to respond. Use the blog not just as a show case but a true work in progress for your self.

good luck next quarter. I think you have grown a lot in the last two quarters but as usual there is still much more ahead of you to master. Keep steadfast.
